Upcoming News!

It has been a long summer, and I know I have not been around much. I wanted to take some time to give everyone an update on what is happening next. Now that I have signed with Mother Spider Publications, I am going fully Young Adult with this pen name. I have also started up another pen name for my more adult writing. 

With this, also, comes some exciting plans for the future! Defying Destiny will be pulled soon and will be republished under Mother Spider. I am excited to see how that turns out, and there may be some changes to the original book. I will keep everyone posted on how that goes.

I have also begun work on the first book of a series I have planned out. The series title is Project Utopia and the first book will be Flawed System. I am working really hard to get this book finished and ready for publication and look forward to introducing everyone to this world. It is a futuristic world filled with chaos. Robots are part of every day life, and the internet is implanted in everyone's brain. The world now functions under one Global Government after many years of war and devastation. In Project Utopia you will be following Seth Boniface, a young teen from the lowest levels of society, fighting to protect his family and find peace. As of now three sets of trilogies have been planned for Project Utopia.

I have a short story to help set the mood which I plan to make available soon, so stay posted for that. I also hope to put out information on the characters and character bios. In the coming months, a new page will be added for Project Utopia which will include those character bios and other fun things. I am so excited for this project and can not wait to share it with all of you.

Along with Project Utopia, I plan to continue working on my Sweet Romances and other stand alone books. People who were fans of my paranormal stories about Jax and Jericho will find that I plan to rework them in my new adult pen name, Alexis N. Shade. I will post updates there for all of my more adult writing.

I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone for all of your love and support over the last year. It has been a wild first year doing what I love, and I look forward to many, many more!

So... Another big year ahead for me. 2015 - New book release - book 5 in the Witchwood series - Witches Bitches. And also another installment in the very popular Paradox series titled Elemental is due out by December 2015. I'm also working on a project very close to my heart, Surviving Tracy. Surviving Tracy is a book based on the actual events of Cyclone Tracy, the most devastating cyclone in Australia's history. The book will contain actual stories and pictures from survivors, and is due out December 2015 (41 years after that horrific Christmas Eve in Darwin). PATTI ROBERTS was born in Brisbane, Australia, but soon moved to Darwin in the Northern Territory with her parents and two sisters. Her son Luke was born in Darwin in 1980. Although Patti now lives in Cairns, Queensland, she still considers Darwin her hometown. 

When Patti is not writing, she is busy pursuing her other passion, which is designing book covers for other authors. It is her wish to one day own and operate a writers retreat in FNQ Australia.

Big Changes Coming!

Hello everyone!

I want to start out by thanking you for all of your amazing support. I don't know what I would do without all of you. There are going to be a lot of big changes going on over the summer that I would like everyone to be looking out for. I won't go into detail about them right now, but expect to see a lot of changes and expect to see a lot more work coming. Please, if you can, bare with me while all of these changes come about.

Review Inconsistent by Alex Akre

At first I did not know what to think of this book. It is not the normal type of book I read, but the unique writing style Akre uses kept me intrigued, so I continued to read. The story was emotional and intelligent, about a girl named Meadow formally known as Macy, and her friendship with a boy named Dante. They are in their senior year of high school dealing with problems most adults don't have to face.

To me the story read like a mix of a Diary and a John Green novel, and was just as touching. There were times I became a bit lost in the story and I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. The author, herself, is very young and I am very impressed at what she has been able to create and put across to the reader. The story makes you laugh, cry, and think about things in a very different way. It does need another run through with an editor, but still very compelling.
